Newberry is a unique community whose historic charm and hometown feel appeals to people from all over Florida. In addition to our beautiful parks and historic downtown, people in and around Florida visit us to enjoy our wonderful community events.

To build upon these outstanding community events, we are pleased to announce that the City of Newberry, together with the Newberry-Jonesville Chamber of Commerce and the Newberry Main Street Organization, is hosting our fourth annual Newberry WestFest Music Festival featuring Gainesville's favorite alternative rock band, Sister Hazel. This year's exciting event is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, April 18, 2020 at Thee Mines Music Park west of downtown Newberry. It will be one to remember, gathering music lovers from around the region in one place to enjoy an afternoon of great music, food, fun, and a spirit of community.

WestFest is an opportunity for organizers and sponsors to "give back" to the community. There is no charge to attend this fun event geared towards families. Attendees only need a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the day with friends, family, and neighbors. We anticipate a huge response from area residents and music enthusiasts from around the area. How often do you get a chance to watch Sister Hazel perform free of charge!!! In addition to a great lineup of musical artists, there will be food and beverage vendors and fun for the kids.
