The Redland Orchid Festival grew out of a desire to add one more sales event at the end of the spring show season. Founding member Lynn Bretsnyder said, We wanted a venue that was relaxing and upbeat where we could provide educational lectures, show quality plants on display and global vendors with great product for sale. This seemingly simple goal requires an incredible amount of behind-the-scenes work by scores of volunteers. The permitting and paperwork itself is a full-time job says Robert Randall of Carib Plants Inc.. The vision of the seven founding members and dedication of the remaining four has paid off.
