Description:

From 7th Annual Inter-Tribal Holiday Pow Wow Website:

Join us for the 7th Annual Pan-O-Kee Cherokee Inter Tribal Holiday Powwow on September 28-30, 2018 at the Dade Battlefield Historic State Park in Bushnell, Florida. The Pan-O-Kee Native American Tribe of Central Florida presents this family friendly event featuring Native crafts, demonstrations, singing & dancing, story telling, native food and more. Bring the whole family and spend the day. Bring blankets or chairs.

The Pan-O-Kee Cherokee Inter Tribal Holiday Powwow celebrates September being set aside by Congress in 1962 as a state and federally recognized Native American Holiday.

A Native American PowWow is a celebration of heritage and traditions. It is a way for Native Americans to connect with each other while keeping their culture alive through dance, song and storytelling. There is a circle in most dances, representing the circle of unity, the cycle of life. Native American gatherings provide opportunities to educate non-natives about their culture and traditions. As with the sacred thread that runs through all of life, there are sacred traditions to be found in this coming together of people.

An Inter-Tribal Native American Pow-Wow is intended for all Native American Tribes to participate in, no matter what tribe affiliation you are from.
