| Description: | From 68th annual Jefferson County Watermelon Festival Website: Watermelons are a rich part of Jefferson County's economic and agricultural history. The whole town gets together to celebrate in the summers, and we've been doing this for over six decades now. We are already thinking about how to make the 2018 event better than ever.
Whether you want to participate in the Watermelon Pageants, watch the annual parade, join the Car Show, or just eat a bunch of home-grown melons, the Monticello-Jefferson Chamber is the place to start.
