For the first-time ever, the potato industry is teaming up with Second Harvest of Central Florida to collect donations from the potato expo community to provide Hi-Five Kids Packs - food packs that students can take home on Fridays so they have food over the weekend - to food insecure students in Orlando.

Nearly 22 million students across the country rely on reduced-price or free school lunches, then over weekends or holiday breaks these same students often go with little or no food. Help us reach or goal of providing a minimum of 2,000 packs so we can support elementary school students through the end of the school year.

The food packs contain a variety of kid-friendly items such as cereal, shelf-stable milk and juice, fruit cups and more. Idahoan and Basic American Foods have generously agreed to provide kid-friendly, shelf-stable potatoes to be included in the packs.
