| Description: | From 6th Annual War on the Peace Dragon Boat Festival Website: Celebrate Halloween at Punta Gorda's War on the Peace Dragon Boat Festival, which will be held on the Peace River waterfront at Laishley Park! Hosted by the Charlotte Local Education Foundation in partnership with the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce and High Five Dragon Boat LLC. The Festival benefits "Take Stock in Children", the Foundation's mentoring and college scholarship program.
This is a great venue for both paddlers and spectators. And Punta Gorda has a full agenda of Halloween related activities for the day and evening. Weve blocked rooms at the citys hotels and there are several fine restaurants in Punta Gordas historic downtown. Bring family and friends and your Dragon Boat Team and enjoy a fun-filled day with Circus Fun, food, crafts, and - oh yes - dragon boat racing!
