The Village Council of Wellington officially welcomes the 3rd Annual Wellington Bacon & Bourbon Fest to its new location at last nights council meeting. Thanks to the sponsorship by the Village of Wellington the event is FREE! Held on the grounds of the new Village of Wellington Community Center and amphitheater, the free event is scheduled for March 23 - 25, 2018. The Wellington Bacon & Bourbon Fest celebrates the most loved food in the universe Bacon and the quintessential American liquor, Bourbon.

The three-day event features great live music, artist & crafters, an eclectic menu of bacon infused culinary delights and a collection of over 40 bourbons and whiskeys for your tasting pleasure. The Fest also offers participants extensive bacon and bourbon pairing seminars including an exclusive Pappy Van Winkle tasting. South Floridas foremost Bourbon experts share the distillers art and patient techniques in the seminars and tastings. All intended to enhance your knowledge and pleasure of American made Bourbon and whiskey. And, we will throw an Irish whiskey or rye into the mix for historical purposes. For those of you who we cannot be convinced to partake in Bourbon, we will have a few fine wines and ice-cold beer too.

Our menu of bacon and pork related dishes will include the sublime Forever Roasted Bourbon BBQ Pork & Bacon Sandwich to the insane Bacon Bar featuring chocolate covered and caramel nut dipped bacon and bacon desserts. Menu items developed by local chefs explore the boundaries of New American Cuisine and the Farm to Table movement to good old-fashioned comfort foods, just like Mom used to make!

Well have plenty of backyard games, corn hole, Jenga, checkers and the infamous pig races! Its an intimate setting like a backyard BBQ!

At the heart of all of our festivals is our commitment to create fun-filled food lover community events featuring unique food and beverages. We strive to ensure that our sponsors are richly rewarded for their investment in our events and our community. The events strong commitment to the community is that they are designed as a fund-raising opportunity for non-profit organizations that staff the event. Our non-profit organization has contributed over $600,000 back to our community volunteer partners.
