Festival of the Arts

The Festival of the Arts is held the first full weekend in November around the Courthouse Square in Inverness. This annual event features over 100 artists displaying a wide variety of unique creations, including fine arts and hobbies and crafts. Historically speaking, this Festival of the Arts is the longest running juried art show in Citrus County and is produced each year as a means to promote the Arts.

A community service event, the exhibitors' booths are set up around the courthouse square. Food vendors provide refreshments and a place for shoppers to relax. There is a special area for artists from local schools, featured in the "School Zone" along with children's activities. It's a "must see" when visiting the festival.

The Festival of the Arts Committee sponsors this event each year, along with the City of Inverness and the Citrus County Chronicle. While there is no general admission charge, net proceeds benefit the Scholarship Program.
