| Description: | We would like to invite your congregation and your school, if you have one, to National Night Out, August 3, 2007. National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen our neighborhoods through police-community partnerships. The goal is to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs and, most importantly, send a message to criminals that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. We have a heightened focus on educating the youth for crime prevention and safety awareness. We will educate and entertain participants. This is a great opportunity to bring your family, youth group and/or school for fun, games, live music and most importantly education. Meet the explorers and visitors who have journeyed across the great green peninsula. See the exploits of Ponce De Leon, John James Audubon, and other famous Floridians. Make discoveries of the exciting finds the state holds by creating your own map and brochure. Travel the backroads while learning songs, meeting famous residents, and writing memoirs of the land of sunshine. Includes an adventurous trek through Matheson Hammock Park with local eco-historian Frank Schena. Handicap Accessibility: Yes | |
