Description: The air is light, the spirit festive and the drinks cold in Downtown Palm Harbor, where, once a month the pedestrian-friendly streets in Palm Harbor’s historic district transform into a huge block party during First Fridays. Local bands and entertainers perform throughout the evening. The area’s artists display their talents at the monthly “Main Streets Art Gallery.” Craft and business vendor sell their wares. There are plenty of fun rides and games for the children. It is a place to meet friends new and old, and rejoice in the preservation and innovation of a historical neighborhood. Join us in historic downtown Palm Harbor where local talent creates a fun, festive, and family friendly atmosphere in the monthly first Friday events. As the name suggests, First Fridays are held on the first Fridays of each month from 6:00pm until 11:00pm on Florida Avenue between Alt 19 & CR-1. Event Rules and Regulations: Please understand that the Event Manager reserves the right to limit or discontinue the participation of a vendor at any time and for any reason. That you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Old Palm Harbor Main Street, Inc., Pinellas County & the FIRST FRIDAYS events and its agents and employees, building owners, tenets, & volunteers from any and all liability, cost, damages, and other expenses suffered or incurred during the Old Palm Harbor’s FIRST FRIDAYS. Understand that you are responsible for adhering to all relevant federal, state and local government regulations (e.g. health codes, permits, fire & safety regulations, taxes, licenses, etc.). Your application fee and vending fees are non-refundable. You may not sell, food, water, sodas/colas, alcohol, weapons, tobacco products, drug paraphernalia, or live animals without prior approval. RULES:
#1 - NO staking of tents permitted on any streets of downtown Palm Harbor!
All work must be for sale or available for commission. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO SELL FOOD, ALCOHOL, ANY TYPE OF BEVERAGES, TOBACCO, ANIMALS, OR BOOTLEG PRODUCTS. Your exhibit space measures approximately 12xl2. Each vendor must provide an appropriate and substantial display for outdoor exhibition. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED NEAR or IN YOUR BOOTH SPACES AFTER 5:45 pm. Parking is available on the surrounding area streets. Please reserve parking spaces in the near vicinity of the event for the convenience of our patrons. Please park your auto legally and properly, as your auto will be ticketed or even towed by the Sherriff’s Dept. for parking infractions. A signed application is your commitment to show up and remain for the entire event as scheduled for the First Fridays of every month, from 6pm until 10pm. Once your application is accepted by OPHMS, no refunds will be made. Event vendors are responsible for collecting their own Florida State and Pinellas County sales tax. Violating any OPHMS festival rule will forfeit your right to participate and you will be told by the event managers to remove your exhibit immediately. Your display set-up cannot be erected until Friday afternoons, after 4:30pm, when the streets are barricaded to thru traffic. Your booth or exhibit cannot be dismantled until after 10:30pm. You vehicle cannot enter the event until the Sherriff opens the festival to vehicular traffic. Please DO NOT move the street’s barricades or street cones, these are in place for everyone’s safety.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Applications will not be accepted unless completely filled out, and accompanied by a check for each of the 12x12 space requested. Once the check has cleared, a confirmation e-mail or phone call will be sent to you.
Each space will measure approximately 10xl0. Your tent’s dimensions will not exceed 10’x10’, unless prior approval by the event manager and with the Palm Harbor Fire Dept. inspector’s permit. Limited electricity is available for your use. You must provide your own low wattage lighting, (such as strings of holiday lights, 40 watt bulbs etc.), out-door rated heavy-duty extension cords, and power strips. If you are using a generator for power, prior notification to the event manger is required for approval. You may be asked to share the use of electrical cords, power strips or electric receptacles with other event vendors in your exhibit’s vicinity.
Cost is $35.00 per space. This is a non-refundable amount and there will be no rain dates.
No commission will be collected on your sales by OPHMS, INC.
